The »Æ¹ÏÊÓÆµ arts program invites professional artists from the Michigan area to apply for the Visiting Artist Grant.

We love showcasing, learning and interacting with artists.

Requirements to apply

The »Æ¹ÏÊÓÆµ Permanent Art Collection Committee is seeking visiting artist applicants with diverse interests, backgrounds, mediums that are active professional artists within their community. See the for more information.

The chosen artist for the academic year will be awarded a $3,500 grant to be used for:

  • visiting artist fees
  • transportation costs  
  • the purchase of one work from the visiting artist’s exhibit to be added to the Delta College Permanent Art Collection 

Fulfillment of the grant

The selected artist would be asked to:

  • exhibit their work in »Æ¹ÏÊÓÆµâ€™s S Wing Gallery
  • lead a lecture and/or workshop for students
  • allow the purchase of an artwork from the exhibition by »Æ¹ÏÊÓÆµ to become part of »Æ¹ÏÊÓÆµâ€™s Permanent Art Collection

Materials to include

  • 10 to 20 artwork image files, in a single folder, .jpg format 
  • a written proposal of what work would be exhibited
  • a written proposal of the workshop/lecture
  • any additional context of your work you think would be valuable to committee members in making their decision    

Deadline

Open for submission year round. Applicants will be notified if they are chosen for a future academic year.
