Narrated by Diego Luna, this award-winning show explores how hundreds of millions of celestial events have forged the elements that make up the Solar System, Earth and us.
This new production from the California Academy of Sciences uses captivating scenery to demonstrate the cosmic origins of the chemical elements that make up virtually everything, says Mike Murray, planetarium manager. Its one of the best programs Ive ever seen about our astronomical roots.
From the oxygen we breathe to the iron in our blood, the silicon in Earths mantle to the uranium that warms our planets core and helps give our planet its protective magnetic field, we owe it all to the stars!
SPARK: The Universe in Us is appropriate for ages 12 and up with a 30-minute run time. Every show is accompanied by a short follow-op presentation about the night sky, current astronomical events and hot topics.
